Estate appraisal
We are often called upon to perform estate appraisals. When property is owned by a person who passes on typically an appraisal is performed on the real estate, sometime later, as of the date of death. This establishes value to the new owner, the person the property was willed to.
Sometimes heirs either don’t know or forget to have an appraisal completed on real estate that was willed to them by the decedent. The further back one must go in time to gather the date necessary to appraise a property the more difficult this makes it to complete a valid appraisal.
If you are seeking an appraisal for estate purposes we have significant experience in this area.
